Cadence: follow-up sequences

Build reply-aware scheduled follow-ups and choose the correct channel.

SHVYA product documentation

Purpose

Cadence sequences define how and when SHVYA follows up with a lead. Steps may use supported channel messages, connected email or reminder actions depending on configuration. The schedule is stored as durable state, and worker dispatch rechecks current permissions.

Create a sequence

  1. Open Cadence and create a sequence.
  2. Select the lead segment, target pipeline and available outbound channel.
  3. Add messages/reminder steps in the intended order with reasonable intervals.
  4. Choose the appropriate sender, template or connected email identity.
  5. Configure response-aware delay and stopping conditions.
  6. Test on a disposable lead and inspect the step history before assigning a larger audience.

Important guardrails

A reply can defer follow-up depending on settings. Disabling the lead's follow-up control should prevent eligible future auto follow-ups. API messages sent after the WhatsApp customer-service window closes require approved templates; a timer does not override provider policy.

Diagnose a missing send

Check the assigned sequence, lead follow-up state, due time, customer reply activity, connected provider, current pipeline sender, template status and automation worker/queue. A scheduled step is not identical to a delivered message.
